David Lee, Kimberly Buxton, and Lois Cunningham speak to students in the foreground while Andrene, Cheree, Mark and James talk with the rest of the crowd. We would be thoroughly ignored if we simply set up a literature table or invited students to a presentation. The huge crowds which materialized day after day were there because of the signs, not in spite of them. Their signs are as selfish as their position. Pro-aborts try hard to change the subject.
As more students opposed our presence, more students came to see what the excitement was about. Gregg debates Air Force R.O.T.C. student (camouflage) who seemed a total moral relativist. The student returned an hour later and quietly admitted that his mind had been changed. Students jammed the sidewalk in front of our display all day long. CBR Media Corespondent Cheree Bartlett answers questions posed by this female student. Often times, we are asked why our signs single out "Planned Parenthood" (see bottom right of photo), not realizing that Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the U.S.
CBR volunteer James Paul (smiling at left) engages the ever-growing crowd while the gray-haired pro-abort spews venom. Two pro-aborts march past our display en route to their own designated "protest" area. The girl carrying the sign on the right would later be arrested. The large USF police presence helped deter pro-abort violence. The significance of this exchange between two African-American men is animated by the image of a third African-American man hanging lifeless on the sign behind them. CBR staffer James Paul provided invaluable insights into the parallels between the injustices visited upon blacks in the past and those being visited upon the unborn today.
David Lee's lecture stimulates discussion throughout the crowd. CBR staffers Michael Spielman (hat and maroon jacket) James Paul (center) and Kimberly Buxton (blue shirt on right) talk with groups of USF students. After disregarding the officers continued orders to observe police lines, a third pro-abort student is arrested.
