At the University of Idaho, several Native American students participated in discussions of genocide waged against indigenous peoples and the unborn. Where the police are visible and vigilant there is little or no violence. A professor with uncommon academic integrity brought his large advertising class out to see our display and then invited our director into the classroom for extended Q&A with his students. Large numbers of pro-abort students complained bitterly that abortion pictures ruined their day. Now they know how abortion procedures ruin a baby's day.
Campus ministry support and involvement at the University of Idaho was excellent. U of I police presence was substantial and effective. The signs get the pictures forever into the heads of tens of thousands of students, but it is our literature and discussion groups which are valued by more thoughtful passers-by. Students debate abortion as genocide among themselves.
No signs, no dialogue. Pro-aborts become extremely agitated by any comparison between the civil rights struggle and the pro-life movement. All deny it but few will debate it. Attorney Cheree Bartlett did her usual excellent job with the press. Very few students can look away.
Student at upper right covers her eyes, who can blame her. Some students spent so much time talking to us that they had to be cutting class. From no debate to no end of debate. The discussion continues even after the signs are gone.
