Because the campus police at the university were among the most professional we have ever seen, countless constructive conversations took place without disruption by pro-abort trouble makers. Most people are astonished by the grim truth revealed by GAP. Even people who look away are forced to think about that from which they are trying to avoid. Many try to look away but can't quite pull it off.
CBR staff who are African-American and Jewish are able to convincingly explain the parallels between abortion and historical genocide. The GAP exhibit creates a somber mood on campus. Some are stronger than others. Many viewers need to be comforted.
CBR teaches what the faculty suppresses. Students frequently move quietly from sign to sign, pausing to process the unimaginable horror. Students listen closely to an intense exchange with a pro-abort female physician on the Akron faculty. We are relieved that students can still register dismay when confronted with evil.
The president of the campus ministry association was voted out of office at the end of the meeting to which he had invited CBR's Gregg Cunningham to come and discuss GAP. Lots of students are interested in thoughtful debate. For these students the word "abortion" will no longer represent an abstraction. Students remember pictures long after they have forgotten lectures.
